The Shears tool in Minecraft is mainly used to shear sheep. With a durability of 238, this tool is renewable but is not stackable.
Minecraft Shears Tool Recipe:
The tool can be crafted by using Iron Ingot just like Shovel Tool. Other than that, players can also craft a shear using two damaged shears and an added durability of 5%. Players can also buy shears from shepherd villagers who sell it for 4 emeralds as a part of their first tier trade.
Minecraft Shears Tool Usage:
Shears are the best tools to shear wool from ships. While killing a sheep only produces 1 block of wool, shearing with a shear produces up to 3 blocks of wool. Shears can also harvest leaves, vines and bushes. If the leaves are harvested with shears, they do not decay when placed.
When a player shears a mushroom, it drops 5 more mushrooms and turns it into a cow.
